Concept idea
A long time ago, back when I lived in Kyiv and my dormitory was an hour and a half away from the university, I used to rely on the bus for my daily commute. My routine was consistent: I'd always board and exited at the last stop, so there was plenty of time for me to take in the sights of Troeshchyna and its vibrant inhabitants.
One day, a man lay sprawled on the bus floor, his hands were blue and cold, constantly shaking, and his mouth was widely open and foaming. Our bus stopped, an ambulance was summoned, and eventually, they whisked him away. Everyone presumed he was dead, but no, the doctor later said he was high.
As we continued on our journey, my gaze lingered upon the pool formed by his saliva. It slowly spread, flies sat on it laying their eggs. I took it like a perfect combination of eros and thanatos, life and death, all unfolding in front of my eyes. It was wonderful and that is how my animation idea appeared.
